More Light in Kitchen
Our 3455SA only has the 12V lights in the kitchen and it always seems dark over the counter work area. We are interested in putting a fluorscent light or track lighting or something else in. Have any of you put any kind of after factory lights in your Monty's kitchen and if yes, what kind do you have? Thanks for your input!

Look back to Mar 11/10 for a similar thread called Lighting for a bunch of suggestions.

Ron, I installed track lighting, 12 volt from Lowe's. I think it is in my electrical mod's.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Ron & Patty,
Keep us posted on what you come up with. I would like to do something to improve our lighting situation in that area too.

Don,
I am sure you will get an answer from Ozz but in our case I added a 12V socket above our sink (right behind the light) and tapped off the light wiring (DW has a DC Crock pot she likes to put in the sink and cook dinner in as we drive down the road...)
If you are replacing the light fixture use the existing wire otherwise you should be able to tap off any of the existing fixtures if you are adding extra light.

All really great info. Thanks to all of you. We will keep you posted as to our progress with whatever we deicide on. Right now we're thinking a fluorescent light but we'll see what we end up with. The only thing that's for certain is that it's way too dark for the DW's taste. )
