slide out hump
I have noticed the floors on the slideouts of my 2010 326 Mountaineer are not flush with the main floor. I especially notice it with the desk chair and the dining room chairs. If the chairs are brought out beyond the end of the slide room floor they sit crooked.This not only puts a strain on the chairs it is uncomfortable because you are sitting on a slant. Is this normal? My friends 09 Montana seems to have a different set up and does not have that bump between the floors. I was wondering if maybe the rooms needed to be adjusted or is it a new design. Thanks, Bubbabc

For what it's worth, our 2000 has had that same problem. Although I just think it's a matter of the design. I haven't been in any others for any length of time so I don't know what they're all like. We don't even notice it now after nine years of living in the rig.

Most of the Montana's use a different slide. It drops down & is flush with the main floor.
Mountaineer's don't use this type of slide. Our 08 Mountaineer was the same thing...was up about an inch.
Our 08 Montana's floor's are flush with the main floor. My dealer mentioned this me when we were looking to upgrade.

What model Mountaineer did you have? Our slide in the LR & Kitchen is flush. Only hump is where the carpet is bound on the edge. I wouldn't like the uneven slide either.

We had the 2008 295RKD. Also at our dining table, you could rock off of the hump while sitting there.

The early model Montana had the hump situation. At some point they moved to flat floor slides. I don't know if the Mountaineer also moved to the flat floor slides or not. It may be the design. I wonder whether Keystone Customer Service could answer that question for you?
