It is hard to imagine how they came through without injuries. I think they have a good guardian angel. Please keep us up to date on progress. It can happen to any of us. Ed complains all the time about the idiots they pull in front of us and then go 30 mph not realizing how long it takes us to stop.
Happy trails..........................

So glad they weren't injured. Wow. You really have to watch others so close.

It's good to hear that there were no injuries. Sad day when our favorite things are taken from us even if it's temporary.

Pam and Max,

So glad no one got hurt. Still it was a terribly upsetting event. Hopefully you'll be up and around with your replacement TV and Monty!

Travel safely. Travel as if there was someone out there with your number! One of these days they may show up!

I am happy to hear everyone is safe. I hope the insurance has replacement coverage. I would push for replacement. Once an rv lands on its side it will never be the same if fixed. We will be on our way to TX. in a few more weeks. Always have to be on the watch for other drivers, to many distractions in cars today.

Max & Pam

Sorry to hear about your accident, glad to hear you are both ok, the truck and trailer can be repaired or replaced, human life can't, good luck in your adventures and safe travels.

Max has not been able to get on the MOC. Pam said she hasn't tried yet. So that is why no one has heard from them here.

Close call but glad no one was hurt. We also had a very close call in The Atlanta area on the way down to Fla this year. We have been told that once a camper takes that kind of stress it will be more expensive to repair than replace. Not a good way to start off a winter stay but all will work out.

Let me add my words of thanks for your safety and the fact that you saw the driver come over the center line in time to get out of his way. As bad as the result was it would have been worse if you two had met head on. May this Christmas be one of your best ever. You still have each other. Everything else is icing on the cake. God Bless.

Al and I arrived RGV last night and Ma and Pa Wilson are camped just a few sites away from us.

I will attempt to help them get back on the MOC later, but for now, I would like you all to know they looked good, and that they are currently moving into a BRAND NEW 2008 3400! Lets let them tell all when they have a chance.

Just thought you would all like to know this, sorta a holiday present for ALL MOCers that have expressed concern for Max and Pam.

Thank God they are safe. It should be a bitter sweet Christmas for them to be in a new unit. I know we all grow attached to these things like they are a pet or family member. Carol please tell them Merry Christmas for us and we are glad they are ok.

Good to hear they got a new unit and they weren't waiting for the old one to be fixed. Give them our best wishes for a Merry Christmas and thanks for posting the update.

This is to all of you that sent through such great words of encouragement and prayers for us . We are sorry we had not got back to you sooner but I had never done much on the forums and Carol and Al were able to get us back onto the system just today 1/15/08. Just to clear up a couple things, we were not about to be hit head on. The other driver came across the road on a 4 lane at a crossroad and was planning to turn south, the same way we were going. If he would have stayed in the inside lane there would have been no problem. He however came over into our lane and I had to swerve to the right to avoid hitting him. I stayed on the berm for a ways, then lost control and went into the ditch and out in a farmers field about 6 feet. The RV fell over on it's side just as we came to a stop and then pulled the truck over with it. We thank God we didn't have a scratch. We used the insurance from the company the other guy was driving for and it did a pretty good job. We are now in a 2008 3400RL 10th anniversary Edition. Our truck was fixed for about $11,000.. Our new 3400 came out of the plant at Goshen on 12/11/07 and arrived on our lot here in Mission Tx on 12/21/07 just ten days later. We purchased it through Walnut Ridge RV Sales in New Castle In where we purchased our 06 Montana. Thanks again for all your concerns. We may post a few pictures as soon as we find out how. Thank goodness you are healthy and safe!

Hopefully one day we will meet in our travels, from one Hoosier to another.
