can't move dump valve controls

I'm trying to get ready for our first excursion and after installing the extended sewer pipe , decided to check on the gate valve controls in the convenience center. There is no water in the rig, so i thought I'd just pull on the handles to make sure they worked. I couldn't budge them.
What gives ? Or in my case, why don't they ?

Maybe they have moisture on them and they are frozen. Try pouring some warm water into the tanks and see if that helps.

Just fixed it - talked to repairman at my dealership - he said give em a good pull, and I did. They worked, just took 240 lbs of manly man I guess ( with an impatient wife ready to go behind him ! ). Kudos to Fun time RV in Cleburne Tx.
