Outside Shower Hose

When hooking blue hose to quick connector water flows only when I push the hose quick connector in and hold it there with the water turned on. When I release the pressure the water doesn't flow. What am I doing wrong? Is there a replacement regular water hose connector that replaces the quick connector completely? I know there is a regular hose adapter for the quick connector but not sure that will solve the problem.

Sometimes you need to squirt the female quick disconnect with WD40 to loosen it up. The male hose fitting has to go in far enough to allow the outer barrel of the female part to snap back out. Sometimes besides the WD40, I attach and remove the hose several times to exercise the quick coupler. It isn't a very high end coupler ... read (cheap). It could be replaced with a regular faucet, but it would take a little doing.

I have had problems with my coupler many times on both my 2012 and my 2015 and like diesel guy said just lube up the female and male side with lube and that works to get it to lock in all the way ,I lube it every month and that does the trick

Dave, Go to a hardware store and get a tube of faucet grease. It won't hurt the seals . Bill
