I agree, I think it's a spartan. There's one on display at an RV park in Mesa.

Cool picture! Beautiful trailer and TV, too! This looks exactly like a filling station we stopped at in Tennessee off I-40 a few years ago. What a place that was!

Other than the pumps were updated and this doesn't have the old-timer in the rocking chair that I talked to and the vehicles were newer this sure looked like the place. I don't remember if it was a Shell, but it sure looked like this, tiny and you couldn't drive a rig on the inside lane... LOL!

I liked the roof. Nothing there. No AC, vents, antenna, etc..

This reminds me of a Lucy and Desi movie from a long time ago, early 50's maybe! They were just married I think and living and traveling in a rig like this! Possibly one of the first fulltimers, whattya think?

I like the single axle, and back then, no sway bars. Must have been a fun vacation for all, except Dad driving. I remember many little stations that looked almost exactly like that over the years. In fact, my step Son "disassembled" our pick up camper at one about like that one time. Didn't fit the first time, I should have tried it the second time, it probably would have. Happy Trails, Steve and Susie

Yup, those are definitely Spartans. We used to have quite a few friends who had Spartans in permanent sites at Dillon's Beach in California. Two of the Spartans had been restored to their former glory and were absolutely beautiful inside and out.
