roof vents

I just finished cleaning my roof vents. I had to take the Maxxi covers off (yes I know the new ones are hinged) then lay on the roof so I could see what I was doing on the underside and on and on. Has anyone got an easier way of doing this?

I sit on the roof next to the vent & clean it best I can then have the DW inside telling me where to get the spots I missed. Not too bad. I guess you could unscrew the frame from the inside & clean it easy that way (I cleaned my fan that way once in a Winnebago we used to have. Worked well).

I open the vent on the inside and use an electric leaf blower from the inside of the trailer. The debris will then be on the roof and easy to remove again with the blower.

Blower works for me too. Also use the vacumn with the dust brush to clean the screen.

Well...I was blow drying my hair one day and turned around and saw the "stuff" on the vent screen and turned the blow dryer around and blew off the "stuff".

As far as cleaning more...have not done that yet.

Get Kathy to do it???

Some of ours are hinged, some are not and have to be unbolted to clean. The hair dryer helps but does nothing for any dirt attached to the inside of the vent itself. I'm hearing I need to clean ours again before we arrive at the rally.
