Ghost in my Monty(air & heat)
My air conditioner will go on with a weird sound and the timer lite is lit also which I don't use plus the other night I woke up to a 84 degree room and my furnace running with all the lights on the thermostat on.This is the first time the furnace went on.This happens about 3 or 4 times a year.I have reset the remote but this still happens occasionally so there's no need to have a service man look at it because it will work fine when it is looked at.The other day the timer light was lit by itself.Has anybody had this experience or ideas.I use the Monty about 9 to 10 Months a year.

Gotta be the ghost of an Amish craftsman. That's weird.

Yes.. After our meltdown in Quartzsite the furnace/AC would intermediately do what ever it wanted to do. The service center replaced the thermostat as part of the all over repair job and that solved the problem.

Gary, what year is your Montana? There was a period of time where the systems would do really weird things, like you described. I believe the vintage was around 2005 and/or 2006 or even 2004. These units had a remote. I can't remember if the model was CCC or if CCC was the replacement that solved the problem. If yours is one of these, I'd try calling Keystone about it. Your warranty may be up so they may or may not do anything, but it would be worth a try.
If your rig is 2007 or newer, then never mind.

I agree. I think you have a squirrely controller.

Are you using the remote control system ? If you are, that is probably the problem, we ended up changing ours to the wired comfort contril system to cure the heat issue.

I didn't know the Amish crafted air conditioners.... :-D
But my vote is the thermostat or controller, whatever your rig uses for controlling the temp, if you've replaced the batteries in the remote and it's still acting up.
