2013 recliner removal
We have a Montana 2013 3402rl and it came with the recline only chairs. My question is do these recliners come apart to remove them from the fifth wheel or are they moved in one piece. If they can be broken into two pieces how did you do it. Thank you for your help.

Most furniture in the RV allow the back to be lifted up from the base. Check for velcro rear cloth and lift the back up.
good luck.

There is a latch or bar on each side in the back. You have to lift it to the up position and then you can lift the back off the chair and you have two sections and can take each out the door. IF you cannot locate the two bars you normally can open the recliner up and take it out while it is open and on its side. Let us know what you come up with and if you get it/them out!

We have a 2010 model and replaced our rocker recliners with the new wall-a-away recliners. I got both thru the door and did not take them apart. Love the new wall-a-way recliners.

Steve..Got to see what you have. These OEM recliners are about as uncomfortable as a chair can get.

Thank you all for your reply's on the chairs. As far as I can tell these do not come apart. Rich is right on the mark on the chairs being uncomfortable. I am 5' 3 and can not sit in these chairs for very long. We will have our new pinnacle gliders today. Again thanks for your help on the best way to remove these chairs. Safe travels to all.

We had to replace one of our chairs under warranty. We put chair in the recline position and turned the chair on its side, and tied the mechanism of the rocker recliner so it could not move. We could only let out one slide due to where we park it at home and had to go around the island in the center (358 lt Mountaineer). We got it out with no problem and back in the same way. Our chairs do not come apart and are quite comfortable. Hope this helps.
