Come with me

OK, drop that remote control, get off the couch and go on this service call with me. You might want to bring gloves, because the tools will burn your hand when you pick them up.
It will be FUN!

Here we go.....

The least you could have done is painted the fan grill. People don't realize just how hot it gets on those roofs.

OK, what's the big deal? It took me about a minute and a half to look through the photos, so it couldn't have taken much longer to do the actual work, could it?

Worst two heat related jobs I ever did: rebuilt the front end on a Impala (springs, ball joints, tie rods, shocks and bearings) in 102 degrees and changed two tires on our Montana - in Montana - on black top at 106 degrees.

I'm leaving out the days in the factory where it got a hot as 121 degrees. People forget about that aspect of the job when they disparage "lazy auto workers".

My work does not compare with so many jobs in the heat and miserable conditions, but.. it still isn't any picnic.

I thought you retired!
It’s just plain too hot to be out working like that but I’m glad somebody does or I wouldn’t be enjoying the AC I’m in right now.

You Da Man Ozz!

Of all the restaurant brands I've worked with DQ is the worst, 21 compressors in our building. When it's like this the HVAC folks can open a branch office in our place. I learned enough about HVAC to maintain the systems and know if I'm getting hosed, but I wouldn't do it for a living on a dare. You have my sympathy and respect. Outside or under the house in summer heat and winter cold and meeting such interesting pets along the way. Glad you do it and I pay someone for it.

Thanks Dick, and Mike... you know me well enough to know I have no point, and wouldn't even have a clue as to where to find said point.. but if everyone has one, maybe I need to look into that. I hate to be the only guy without one

So Ozz, what you doing in your spare time......oh yea I forgot building hands with a welder. Yup, you aint right!! LOL
Hang in there bud, glad someone wants to do your job, cuz it wouldn't be for me thats for sure. Although as a RR conductor all that steel surrounding you and stone I can say there was a lot of days of putting up with extreme heat also, and its not fun!

Have a good day buddy!!

Dave
