Scratch Removal/Wax
My 2008 Montana 2955RL just had a run in with a tree limb that left a masty scratch all the way down the side. Our perfect trailer now ain't so pretty. What product can basically remove scratches on my fiberglass exterior? Sorta like Simoniz for cars whihc has a mild abrasive.

Does your Montana have the high gloss option or the standard fibreglass finish?
Ours has the high gloss and also had a couple of scratches. Not as big as yours, though. I had decent success with automotive scratch remover, the stuff you rub in circles over the scratch and apparently it moves some of the surrounding finish into the scratch. Or something like that. These were not deep scratches, though.

I did the same thing with ours, which is high gloss gel coat. I used Gel-Gloss and took out all the scratches. When I was finished you couldn't tell it ever happened. My scratch(s) started at the storage compartment door all the way to the back of the unit. 3400RL. I was sick when I saw the damage and suprise, suprise, after about an hour it was all like new.

Well after some research, I purchased MeguiarsUltimate Compound. I cannot believe how well it worked. I had some very severe scratches and they are all but gone! Took elbow grease, so I manufacturd a tip for my drill so I could have concentrated rubbing power and it solved the problem. I highly recommend this product.

Glad it worked out for you, but be very careful when using a drill, as most turn too fast and cause more damage. A better choice is a buffer made especially for this purpose, and you get some pretty inexpensive ones if you shop around.
