Santa Barbara

well we just got back after taking a short trip to Santa Barbara. The weather was ok little rain. If anyone wants to go to see Santa Barbara do your self a favor and look for another camping spot. Santa Barbara RV park is nice and all but its really small and a 41ft monty is tough to get around just a FYI.

Some things I found wrong with my 3920 and is going back for warranty work is:

1. It did rain and I found water coming in my AC vent the return side (where it sucks in the air) no idea what that is about, hope there is no water damage yet to be found !

2. CW installed the washer and dryer, the washer sits on the floor on a drain pan, and it seems they screwed it down to the floor now in front of the cabinet the floor squeaks, hopefully a easy fix..?

aside from some missing screws on the skirt I think I'm getting to the end of all the crap they need to fix.

I did notice a small area in the slide where I can push the roof like a bubble dont think its water damage should I tell them about that?

Tony

Tell them about everything. The screws holding the skirting are notorious for coming loose. There are a number of ways to deal with this problem, from using silicone caulking on the threads of the screws after they are installed to using flat spring nuts, which is what I have used, https://www.lowes.com/pd/Hillman-4-C...g-Nuts/3013171

I would not expect the dealer to add these to the screws, but you can do this fairly easy.

The squeaky floor may just be one of those things you will just get used to, just like in a stick and brick home.

There have been issues with water intrusion from A/C installations, and the bubble in the in the slide may be a problem that must be checked.

Good luck.

I’ll be heading to Lowe’s tomorrow for some replacement screws and I’ll pick up the spring nuts. Thank you for the info. I have already emailed CW manager so hopefully it will all get fixed soon.

I added the spring nuts to the skirting screws due to reading about them on this forum. Have not lost a screw yet !
