Sailer's ladder rack is nice, I got see it at last years Fall Rally.
For those with the new dropped frame, it may not be possible to add the under frame storage tubes due to the amount of ground clearance.

Ozz, I took 4 1x6 boards, pine, and made a box long enough to hold the ladder. It lays on the basement floor and I can take the ladder out from either side. I got tired of taking everything out to get to the ladder and now it does not matter what is setting on the box. The weight was not that much for me to worry about, I think the 4 boards weigh 15 lbs total.

Ozz or anyone else. Where does one get this kind of ladder? Do they cost an arm & a leg?
Thanks,
Patty

Either, or, not both. Either an arm or a leg but not both, you will be a tripod. If you go with a Little Giant like I did they get both and an eye to boot... Dave and Betsy

Patty, we got our ladder at CW for $119 at members price. Check Ozz's pictures for the size and the length is about 7 foot when folded.

I looked at Camping World but could only find one with steps on one side of the ladder. From looking at Ozz's pics it seems like there are steps/rungs on both sides.
I've had my eye on the Little Giant for some time but storage space in the basement is at a premium with our early 03 Sky. We have the teeny tiny basement & the step up in the bedroom. Plus all prices I've seen on the Little Giant are well, uh, high.
Tom, John, Wayne, Dave & Steve thanks for the speedy replies. You guys & MOC are the best.

We love our little giant but it is heavy and it is a storage problem. It takes up a huge amount of basement space so we store it in the pickup bed, and at the camp site it sits under the rig.. Dave and Betsy

Patty, look on page 39 of the latest catalog from CW. The picture of the guy standing on a ladder is the double-sided and it costs $149 in the book. We got ours at one of the CW stores when they had a sale on them,$119 plus tax.

I also got the same ladder at camping world. John does have a good setup but on my Mountaineer it would not work so I have the same as Ozz. Also put 2 inches of high density foam inside each end cap to keep it from banging around to much.

Wow, I bought it 2 years ago, I'm not sure. Ladders, yea, I'm still having nightmares from falling from the top of a building off a metal ladder.
