Black tank repair

Our black tank sprung a leak, wow what a mess. I pulled the bottom off the Monty and the leak was right there by the outlet. I thought about it and wondered if that Plastic Welder, Harbor Freight Tools sells, really works. http://www.harborfreight.com/plastic...ent-96712.html I haven't been this impressed with a tool in a long time. It works kind of like a Brazing Torch only with hot air and plastic welding rods. Only time will tell if it holds, but I can't see why it won't. The black line is where the crack was and the circle is the repair I did.

Good job!
Now fix the cause, install 2 rubber couplings on the discharge line so it can flex with a full/empty tank, then it won't do it again.. Works.

Great Job! Keep us informed on how it does. Looks like it should work great.

Both my Grey and Black tank failures were due to overfilling. Plastimend has held up so far for fixing the resulting stress cracks.
