Slideout roof seams-PROBLEMS.

I have an 07 319BHD. I live in this unit. A few weeks ago I was away from home. While away it rained, the biggest storms of the year. When I came home I smelled MOLD turns out that the slicone at edge of the roof on the slides was bad was not sticking and let water down the inside of my walls(two slides two leaks)a lot of water. There is an inside wood frame on the slide now damaged. I removed the old slicone washed the seams with TSP and added new my leaks are now stoped. I will look at the rest of my seams and I think YOU should be aware of this PROBLEM.

We had a similar huge leak on the outside of the livingroom slide. The far outside seam, that runs along the entire top of the slide, was never properly sealed at the factory...it was repaired under warranty and has been fine since the repair.

I had the same problems from day one with my 2005 Mountaineer.
Don't you love the "quality" control.

It takes a while to find get the defects out of a new RV.

I would be concerned if it was silicone caulk. The only caulk that should be used on any parts of the rubber roofing must be compatible with the rubber roofing material. Dicor caulking is what I use anywhere on the roof, slide roofs included.
