Satellite connection to bedroom

I don't have access to my 5th right now. But schematic says there is a standard cable connection and a satellite connection available in the bedroom. If so, how do you mount the receiver so the remote works? I suppose I could set it on the dresser and run a short cable to it, but since I hear that the Pathway X2 antennae only has a 25 ft. cable allowed, I don't know if that would work.
Anybody out there done this?
Thanks.

I have the Pathway and run 100' cables to both the bedroom and the living room with no problem at all. I have my 211z reciever set on top of the dresser and run a cable to the tv. Works well.

I also have the receiver set on my dresser and it works for me. I have thought about a better location but realize with out a bedroom dresser slide out I can not achieve what I would like to, so I settle for what works with what I have. I think a lot of the abilities is if you are ok with digital or if you want high definition. What you want will dictate where you set up,your receiver etc.

I have longer cables--about 70 feet-from my X2 to the 211z receiver in the bedroom and living area. Works great for me. My bedroom receiver is in the front closet--I just open the door so the remote can control the receiver. Hope this idea will help.

We have a 2014 3582RL. We are fortunate because on the left side of the cabinet there is a space between the top of the cabinet and the ceiling and my receiver fits in that space. I run short wires over to the satellite connection and run the HDMI cable over to the TV and also plug in the elect connection over to the plug by the TV. I usually put my portable satellite on either the bedroom slide or the living /kitchen table slide (door side) and run the 50' cables to my convenience center. I always look at other RVs to see which way their Direct TV satellite is pointing and that determines which slide I will set it on. Works great.
