Ladder on slide side.
My 06 2955RL has the roof ladder on the slide side and I always climb up part way to check for debris before I close the slides. If I see something has blown onto one of the slide roofs I get up and remove it.
I was surprized to see a newer 06 2955RL with the ladder on the non slide side and I thought that was not as good a place, as with that set up you can't check your slides without getting on the roof or putting up your own ladder. The larger models with slides on both sides, I guess it doesn't matter which side the ladder is on but on the 2955RL , the slide side makes a lot more sense.

Can we get some pictures. To me it seems it would make the rig wider by the distance that the ladder is away from the side.

The ladders are all on the rear walls of the trailers. Some are on left rear and some are on the right rear. If you only have slides on the one side like the 2955RL is is handier if the ladder is on the slides side.

Rich, just a side note... you don't run both A/Cs on that 30 amp, do you?
Sorry for the hijack... just had to ask...

We found that if we had our single A/C on, the electric water heater pulling juice, and the Splendide Washer Dryer going we would kick a 30 amp breaker so we just ran the water heater on propane when we used our A/C because we always did at least one load of washing a day. Now that we know the Splendide is so simple and quiet to use we will bring a lot less towels and clothing than we did bring. Because we have never had a Washer Dryer before, we packed dozens of towels and way more clothes than we had too.
To answer your question, you want 50 amp to run two A/C units.
