We are hoping to take my grandfather up to Mount Vernon, Indiana in October to visit some relatives. Does anyone know of parks near there that are full hook-up that we could stay at? This will be our first LONG trip.

We haven't stayed at that location but you can check some online directories at www.trailerlife.com and www.woodalls.com . There are probably others, too.

Also, I've been known to do a google search, such as on
rv park mount vernon indiana

Sometimes that turns up parks not in any of the directories.

Guy's, many states have free information.If you call the state department of tourism and ask for thier listing of RV parks and campgrounds they will send it in the mail free of charge. It is a very good source of information.
