Sunrisesunset, are you familiar with the rv parks in the Savannah area? We're thinking of spending January and February in that area. We don't want to be too far inland where it's going to get possibly below freezing nor do we want to be right on the beach (salt air) for that long. Just wondering if you can recommend nice, quiet parks? Thanks.

we're back now.....and we had a great time!!!!! our firtst time at fort wilderness. while it obviously is more 'expensive' than most campgrounds, there is also an appreciated level of value there to offset that. we bought a trike and a collapsible bike while there and enjoyed many days of just riding the trails, taking our dogs and one cat for a ride, walk. disney........what is it but a dream.
we sent steve a pesonal email telling them about skidaway state park in savannah......we like staying there when in that area.....and craig and millie...hope y'all enjoyed what we didn't use up....y'all take care, and come see us sometime......see what a specialty cut flower garden looks like......if ya come during the busy season, be prepared to be put to work.......peace.

I am planning to go to Ft. Wilderness twice this next year. It all depends on when I can get reservations. I am only 2 hours away.

We have 16 days booked in May 2005 for Fort Wilderness, taking Son and his wife and our two grandchildren. Three of them will fly down and 4 year old will travel with us (she did it last month and travelled really well thanks to the DVD player). They will fly home and then we are having 2 weeks at the Bluewater Key resort. It seems a long time to wait, have to get through the Canadian winter first but definitely something to look forward too.
