Hydrolic Cylinder Leak

I tried to bring in the slides and usually the bedroom slide comes in first, it did not move, but I heard a noise, and the snap ring to the end of the cylinder popped off and leaked hydrolic fluid under the bed. This happened the first time a year ago. We got the snap ring back on and it worked for about 12 times without popping off after the first episode. Today the same thing happened, My husband was able to borrow a snap ring tool to put it back on. We added more fluid and were able to bring the slides in. My question why does this snap ring keep popping off?

Nelly,

You folks need to call me. We need to get that cylinder changed before it causes a lot of clean up damage.

Dale, maybe you need to have something about Lippert Industries (whatever the name) in your signature line. I'm not sure everyone here knows you work for them. Just a thought.

See another Montana or Mountaineer on the road? Flash lights twice, it might be one of us!

Dale: Thank you so much for returning my call. So good to hear Lippert is honering a warranty for the cylinder for 5 years from date of Montana manufacture date.
