Replacing a vent cover

I have a 2004 3255. The bathroom vent cover is cracked and needs replacing. Since I am "mechanically challenged", is this something I can do without a lot of troubles? Also, I see they come in different "hinge styles"....anyone know which hinge style the 2004 monty uses?
Thanks in advance

I just gave mine to our dealer here in Kansas City. I have a different model, but mine has a tab on each end, bend it out and off it comes. Look at it and you can tell up close. You won't have any trouble.
Call Naylor RV, here in town, tell them to send it to you! (Might work)
I wouldn't think they are too expensive.

My wife replaced ours while I was at a meeting..I don't think you will have a problem...but, then again, she has tremendous mechanical aptitude...which is good because I don't.

As Mike says you do not need a lot of tools or a master mechanic degree. Screwdriver and pliers, about a 15 minute job. Trick is to get the correct replacement cover for your type vent.

Just replaced mine - busted - must have left up while traveling.

1st, from the inside remove the 2 screws that hold the crank unit in place. The crank must be loose/removed so that the lever that raises/lowers the lid can be removed from the lid.

2nd, up on the roof. The lid hinge is a really simple setup. The piece attached to the lid has a small tab at each end - pick an end and bend the tab straight, open the lid and slide it left ir right off of the hinge.

Replacement is just as easy - attach the lid, the crank lever and then put the crank back together.
