Non-Skid Step Coating

I don't know why they only put the non-skid surface on the outside part of the enterance steps.
The other day when the steps were wet, the front of my foot skidded on the inside part of the step and I slammed my shin into the next step.
I had a few choise words to say.
So I went looking.
KRYLON paint make a Special Purpose Non-Skid spray paint in black.
I gave my steps two coats and it works great.
Another improvment.

I made and installed some indoor/outdoor carpet, like the commercial ones, on our steps. Did it because our dog slipped and hurt himself on our old 5er, just moved them to the new one.

You can buy the same stuff the factories use. It comes in strips with self adhesive backing - just be sure what you apply it to is clean !

We use the little rug covers that hook onto each step that you can buy at CW. Not only does this make them non slippery even when wet but it also helps to wipe off some of the dirt from you shoes. Ths steps still fold up just fine.

Has anyone used the carpet adhesive in all kinds of weather, to include everything from hot and humid to ice and snow? Just wondering if the adhesive holds up. Also the carpet. Thanks.

I also have the little rugs that CW sells they have never came off in all the years that I have had them on any of my RV steps, the rug usually wore out first
