Just wanted to post a hello from Cyndie and Gary near Louisville KY. We've been 5-ers since 2005 with our 2004 Mckenzie Starwood 29'. (Please don't get me started on the quality of THAT unit!) This past Friday we took delivery of our 2010 3750FL Montana. We're excited and impatient to take our first trip! We've already set up reservations for an RV park near Ashville NC so we can tour the Biltmore Estate and surrounding area. Anyone been there and have any suggestions on where to go and what to see? Looking foward to making some contacts here and share information/help on RV-ing in a Montana!

Cyndie & Gary,
Welcome to the forum. Feel free to ask about anything. There is a wealth of information here. Look under the rally section and see if you can make some of them this year. You'll meet a great group of people.

Welcome Cyndie and Gary and many safe trips in your new 3750.

Visiting the Biltmore is a great place to spend most of a nice day. You can tour the home and gardens and have lunch there in what used to be a horse stable. No joke. If you are a AAA member you can get reduced ticket prices.

If time permits visit Mt Pisgah (pizga) and have lunch there viewing the Smokies and Blue Ridge. Not a long trip from the Asheville area. It's called the Mt Pisgah Inn. Food is average, views are outstanding. It's on the Blue Ridge Parkway close to Asheville.

Mt Mitchell (over 6000 ft elevation) is another scenic visit nearby.

Depending on your length of stay, other day trips could be Cherokee (Casino), Gatlinburg TN or Pigeon Forge TN.

Enjoy your first Montana trip.

Welcome Cyndie and Gary, and enjoy that new rig of yours. My wife is from Louisville Kentucky but I drug her out here to California after we were married way back when.

Welcome and congratulations on your new unit. This is a great place to learn about it. Hope you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed our Montana's.

My wife and I went to Asheville a couple of years ago. We really enjoyed the Biltmore estate. We took a day trip to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area from there. If you like knives be sure to go to Smokey Mountain Knife Works in Pigeon Forge. Congrats on your new Montana.

Cyndie and Gary-- Welcome to the MOC forum and welcome to the Montana family! You'll enjoy your unit more all the time! You didn't say whether you are still working or are retired yet but as was mentioned in previous posts here try and make some time for some of the Rallies that will be going on coming up within the next 5-6 months. I'm promoting the Central Plains Regional Rally to be held here in Nebraska coming up in July! I'm doing this because the DW and I are Wagonmasters for the event and hope we can get some of our MOC Brothers and Sisters on out here in the Midwest/Central Plains to enjoy our hospitality. Check out the forum threads on Rallys. If you can make any of them jump on in there and put your names down for them. They are really fun and you get to know a great bunch of MOC members and see some really great modifications members have made to their rigs also. Did I mention FOOD-- well that is one thing that every Rally has in abundance and man-o-man is it GOOD!! Welcome aboard and enjoy your new rig and the Montana Way of Life!!

Thanks to all for the warm welcome! Neither Cyndie nor I have made the retirement plunge yet. It's still 2 years, 3 months and 12 days away. (But who's counting?) But we're literally working to that goal. Getting our ducks in a row, so to speak, with the purchase of the Montana and the F350. We plan on becoming full-timers, spending the summer months in northern Michigan and the winter near Ft. Lauderdale where our son is a police officer. And in between some trips out west. Haven't got all the details worked out yet, but that's half the fun. Again, Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome to the forum! I hope your new rig exceeds your expectations. This is a great place to get Montana info from the "experts", owners who have been there. Happy RVing...........

Hey Cyndie and Gary, from a fellow Kentuckian welcome to the forum! This is a great place to share and discover information about your Montana. We visited the Biltmore a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I think you will too.
