Exclamation inverter on/off when on shore

I am new and have had this 3750fl for a month.

I have a MS2012 inverter, I had shore power running and turned on the microwave for the first time and the tv and everything flickered and the AC overload light popped on my controller . I have tried a soft and hard reset neither fixed the shore power issue. If i turn on the generator everything runs fine like it is supposed to.

When I turn the shore power on the inverter takes about 2min to start and then runs for 5-8 seconds before it kicks off, if i leave the shore power on it will do this over and over.

Any idea on how to fix this issue?

Or is there a way that i can bypass the inverter and just run on shore power as money is tight at the moment and propane for the generator is expensive.

Check the transfer switch downstream of the inverter.

It's not the inverter. It sounds like you have a shower power issue. Check voltage at the pedestal. The inverter has to be on to provide power to the inverted plugs. It has a built in transfer switch that passes shore power to the plugs. If you turn it off those plugs won't work. The microwave isn't on the inverter power. It's on shore power or gen power. Since the microwave works on gen power it's a sure sign the shore power has an issue. If you have a built in gen then you have a transfer switch that switches between shower and gen power.

If you're using a surge protector at the pedestal and have the onboard Surge Guard, that may cause problems. This is our first rig with a Surge Guard and I discovered the two didn't get along. I had trust issues with the onboard when we got this 5th wheel, but I've worked through it, ditched the pedestal surge protector and everything has been fine.

So I got a hold of the old owner today and he is saying the shore power that I'm plugged into is bad, he has experienced this before and by moving spots it fixed the problem. After talking to the owner of the property I found out that they are running a 8 gauge wire to a 50amp breaker . She talked to her electrician that wired up this box on Wednesday last week and he will be out Thursday to run all new 4 gauge wire and to make sure everything is running properly. He is assuming that since she told him I would only use 30 amps (I told her I would use 50amps) and I probably went above that and cooked some wires. Hopefully Thursday I will have proper power.

Is there a way that you all would suggest that I should check to make sure that the power is proper for a RV? like should i run both A/C units (high is 40 here) or something that should create a good load

It will be in the basement. Mine is mounted to the wall and says Surge Guard on it.

If you don't have a built in EMS, many use this. I have one. It checks power at the ped and at any time there's a fault it won't pass power to the trailer. It is bluetooth and will alert your phone. It's also a surge protector. You can get a built in as well.
