Sealand 210 toilet
This morning the ball gate on our Sea Land toilet stopped opening. I called Dometic and they said they would gladly send a new spring cartridge and/or ball and shaft right out. But we will be heading out on Monday toward Kings Bay Sub Base. After I dug out a rubber glove and hand rotated the ball valve(some fun)I took the mechanism apart and found that the two parallel screws that hold the whole mess together were hand tight. I reassembled the unit and put the screws back in and tightened them up. No easy task since I did not have a stubby screwdriver (soon remedied). The whole thing works again. So if one morning you find that the toilet won't dump just tighten the screws and you may be back in action. Dometic has upgraded the screws on the replacement cartridge and they have more aggressive threads that take as much torque to remove as to install and won't back on their own. I will call them and accept the offer of parts as soon as I get my site number at Kings Bay. Just keep an eye on those screws and make sure they stay tight... Dave
