Rally Louisville KY
Has anyone attended the "Rally" in KY or are you planning on going? What is the parking like at Kentucky Exposition Center for RV's. We are thinking about going and arriving on the Early Bird days since it fits our school schedule and can not attend Goshen. Any input would be appreciated. We also have motorized scooters would they be helpful to decrease walking or a henderence?

We attended the previous Rally in Louisville. Our being new to camping we made arrangements a year in advance to stay at a KOA south of there. When we arrived we were extremely glad we did. The Louisville area had undergone a week of huge rain storms and the fairgrounds was completely saturated. The rigs were pulled into and out of their sites by a wrecker. The Rally was wonderful but the talk was all about the wet ground. Enjoy!

Not all rigs will be parked on the fair grounds. Not enough space. Alot will be parked at other areas like Papa Johns Stadium, closed mall parking lots and other open areas. Shuttles will provided from those areas to the front doors. We were the 10 years ago and were parked in a closed mall. It took hours to get registered and parked. We probable are not going this time and I only live 50 miles out. Maybe we will do a day trip. Good luck.

We will be attend some of the Rally, but we are not staying at the fairgrounds. We are staying at the Charlestown State Park in Charlestown, Indiana. It is about 25 minutes away from the fairgrounds. This Indiana state park is northeast of Louisville about 12 miles east of I65. We will be doing a one or two day visit.

We made our reservations yesterday and will be staying on the fairgrounds in the electrical section. I am sure we will be extremely closely parked but a trade off for being able to rest when we need to in our RV. We did verify it was on concrete and it was on the actual fairgrounds. Thanks for all your input. We have never been to it so we are looking forward to a new experience. Our first choice was Goshen in Sept. but we work around the school schedule and it just would not work for us.
