Under Bed Storage

There was A post some time back from a member about inlarging the storage space under the bed.Can anyone help me with this thanks

I simply removed the plywood base under the bed, cut it in half side to side, screwed a piano hing to the two halves and put it back in. I screwed the upper half down and drilled a finger hole in the bottom half so we can lift it up.

Wondering if adding more storage space under the bed, and if used, would raise any "over weight" issues...well, some might think the notion is "silly," but over loading your slide might cause you more trouble down the road. Just a thought.

We did what NCfishers did a long time ago. We use it to store extra linens, Beach towels, clothing. Nothing of significant weight.
