27" LCD TV option?
Just wondering why they put the 27" LCD TV as an option when in the bochure it is listed as coming with the Moving To Montana Package? Is this just and error in the bochure? Or is the 27" LCD Tv to be included?

I think what they mean is it is an option if you choose to not go with the Moving to Montana package...Not sure why anyone wouldn't add that package?

At the dealer I was at they charge you for the Moving to Montana package and an additional $893.00 for the 27" LCD Tv. They said it was considered an option. I wonder if they would have to honor what is printed in the bochure? Of course they would probably just give you a regular 27" TV It is so confusing though!

I think the 27" LCD TV will be one of those "manditory options" once they get rid of the last of the CRT TVs--at least until they come out with a new retail price sheet in January that will incorporate the price of the LCD TV into the base price of the Monty.

I just called Keystone and talked with Mark, he said the the CRT TV is becoming obsolete so the 27" LCD TV will be in all new models starting Jan. 07. He also said it will become an option and not part of moving to the montana. He said other things like the cable outlet and electric outlet in the basement will be in the moving to montana package.

If they no longer have any of the CRT TV's then I dont think they will put anything. Sure wish they would of left the LCD in the moving to montana package.

OKKKKKK
Would love to see the numbers at the end of the first year, and see how many people order the LCD and how many don't.
Interesting.

So... if, say... next March, my tube tv goes out while still on warranty... Could I at least dream of maybe a longshot of getting it replaced with an LCD??? Probably not...
*On Edit~ BTW, what brand/model is this LCD? One of the big drawbacks earlier with Montana putting one of the LCDs in a 5ver (other than the fact that they still had a boat load of these "tubers" in their warehouse), was that the brands/models of LCDs that had durable enough soldering joints to handle the RV experience, were WAY too expensive (read: NOT Wally world priced LCDs) for inclusion in the financial niche Keystone had carved out for us Montana clientele...

There new LCD TV IMO will just be like the Apollo Microwave. You'll be better off to spend your money the way you want and get what you want! SeeYa

Does anyone know how tough the LCD tv's are when traveling. I have thought about getting one when we upgrade, but like alot of things I wonder about durability.

David, Keystone indicated that this was a major concern with them - durability. I would imagine that these things would get very expensive very fast for Keystone if they had to replace them constantly on warranty. Of course, you would think that about the Apollo, too...
I would think that Keystone would put a proven RV type of LCD in the Montanas. Time will tell.

Sure hope is is durable. I have not had any trouble with our microwave(knock on wood) Would of been nice if Keystone would of went with a different more durable brand of microwave though.

I just purchased a 23" HD LCD from Costco...will let you know about the durability after I install it sometime after the first of the year.
Anyone else have any ideas about how to mount it? Been looking in the search to see, but no luck...
