Bathtub leaking

Has anyone had trouble with your bathtub leaking? We have a bathtub with shower enclosure that likes to leak. We have caulked it so will see if that does the trick.

Our shower also leaked in the corner farthest from the faucets. I caulked at the bottom of the wall and where the tub came together. The leak stopped. I also removed the drain and recaulked around it also as I was getting a small leak around the drain pipe also

Anyone care to explain what tools are needed to remove the Drain? I can get to mine, but all the plastic parts and their removal is unfamiliar.
Mine leaks sometimes too. There is plumbers putty around the drain and by "massaging" it I can stop the leaking for a while.
Thanks!

I used a large pare of channel locks to remove mine and replace the caulking. Tedious job, had to crawl into basement and lay on back to do the "operation" No problems for a year now.

We leaked around the drain, replaced same, we leaked at several points around the enclosure, top right hand corner had a gap I could stick my finger down, Bottom right hand corner was cut to short, bottom left hand corner had a gap that allowed water to leak through. Aggressive caulking solved the problems. Some say do not caulk around the shower enclosure but we observed that most other brands do caulk around the enclousure.

I had to remove my drain from underneath in the basement. It was very difficult and got lots of scraped knuckles. I was able to undo the fittings to the drain by hand and used no tools. the hole cut in the basement was just barely big enough to get my hand through it, and it had lots of rough edges. When all was undone, I just pushed the drain up from the bottom and up into the tub it went. Recaulked it and then set it back into the tub

It amazes me that the amount of money we pay for these that it wouldn't look like a 2nd grader did most of the work on them.

I had a leak and had the dealer shore up underneath the drain with wood framing. Took most of the flex out of that area that causes that area to leak. No leak at all now.
