Tires on new Montanas

A question for you folks taking delivery of new Montanas - Are the new ones still coming with Tacoma LT series tires? Has anyone experienced any problems with same? No problems here so far, just wondering .....

Our 2003 2955RL came with the Tacoma LT tires and have had no problem over 27000 miles. Had them rotated at 20000 miles.

Another trip to the Montana factory, another tour, Al looked hard and discovered that they are still using Tacoma tires.

Boome101,
Do all the 05 Montanta's have the 8 lug wheels or just the BigSky? If all this is big news as 8 lugs usually means higher rated axles. If so my hats off to Montana

All Montanas have the 8 lug wheels, that way you can use a truck spare as a replacement for any blowouts on your rig. Cool, eh???

Dexter axles on all of em too!

Our 2005 3670 (not Big Sky) has the Tacoma LT tires and 8 lug aluminum wheels.

Here's a tidbit from the tour... All new Montanas come with 8 lug wheels and axles. They changed axle suppliers from Alko to Dexter. Our guide told us that Dexter has a better history of meeting their warranty requirements as well as offering better axles at a better price.

Tires never came up during our tour. So, I can't comment there.
