Armed Forces tribute

This is so totally off RV topic, but someone sent it to me and I thought you might be moved by it as I was.

Thanks Nancy. Two of my grandkids have written letters like that to their Dad & Mom. Career Air Force, but fortunately so far not both deployed at the same time.

Thank you for this wonderful link, as I watched the pictures and listen to the song it was hard to hold back the tears.

Thanks for sharing. That says it all. Whatever our political leaning may be, our armed forces and their families deserve our gratitude every day of every year.

I agree. I just learned the song is sung by Ricky Skaggs, which does not mean much to me since I am not a CW fan most of the time, but thought you might want to know.

Thanks Roy and Nancy. We need to keep our prayers not only for our soldiers but also their families. May God bless them all.

Awesome. Thank you for the information. Just sent it to my family. My cousins' sons have been in Iraq but are home now. That little girl was me 60 years ago when my Daddy (Lt. Col. - Army) was in WWII. Added note: for those of you who use PayPal (I did the donation route) they now will withdraw from your checking or savings account instead of a credit card.

I have been using Pay Pal out of my checking account since I signed up with them several years ago. They have always had that the preferred method. It just takes a little more to set that up, as you have to do a bank check.

Now PayPal does it all on line instead of the check. They deposit a few cents in your account and you verify the date and the amount.

That is what I meant, at least that is what I meant to say When we signed up for Pay Pal there were 2 options to take out of our checking account or credit card. We signed up for both. When we buy something (as on Ebay), the first choice that comes up is to take it from our checking account. We physically have to change it to come from the credit card. Others have complained about Pay Pal but I have never had a problem and it is so easy to use. We do most everything we can online.

Very nice, thank you for posting and sharing it with us. My son-in-law goes to Irag right before Christmas, such a sad, sad thing.

Toolmanroy,
Thanks so much for sharing with us. As most agree, we cannot forget
the men and women in the Armed Forces.
Thank you!

Gvons, I put it in the correct forum "Drop in here and discuss the many things that have NOTHING to do with RV's/RVing;" therefore, it was not really off topic for THAT heading, just off RV topic.

The point is that this is a scam and an afront...

I am sorry that somehow you managed to make it political. There was nothing political in my intentions, merely patriotic.
