Re the title of this thread, "We got big trouble." I agree, that the roof is a serious problem. However, in the grand scheme of things, if money will fix it, it's not a big problem. I say that as I lay out my clothes for the third funeral I'll be attending in two months. Some things can't be fixed.

Glad to hear you're on the road to getting it fixed! When you think the lifestyle sucks just remember the fun stuff about owning a stick house. After you consider the costs etc, just remember what S&B folks have to do when their new neighbor turns out to be a total jerk they really hate. They live with it, we move on. This too will pass, just keep moving on.

Make sure when you get a new roof they put EVERYTHING back. My new roof came without the mushroom attic vents. Didn't notice until months later...
