Onslow Beach

Just chilling out here at Onslow beach. Spent the last 4 days at Fort Monroe - drowned out! The site was one of the high ones but we practically had to swim to the outhouse(single stall and shower for men and women), but got in some decent Christmas shopping at the local px's and enjoyed watching the surf abuse the rocks. We're still learning our way around our new 3400RL before we journey down to Florida. The wind, right now is flapping the slide-toppers like crazy. I hope they stay on.

Are you talking Onslow Beach at Camp LeJeune, or some other Onslow Beach?

Those "beach" winds can be a "beach" when it's cold.

Onslow was always a good beach for us. West onslow, down past florence close to surf city was always empty and good swimming. However, it looks pretty built up now from my google earth.

Must not be Camp LeJeune. Talking about rocks and all. I was a lifegaurd on Onslow Beach in Camp LeJeune back in 1970. Needless to say, pretty good duty for the Marines LOL

All kidding aside, it ended up being my therapy after being wounded in the Nam. Works for me

Champ,
The rocks were at Fort Monroe, rip-rap protecting the wall. We moved from there to Onslow, and yes it was at Lejeune.
