New Water Pump
Has anybody replaced their OEM water pump with a better model that is quieter and pumps a higher volume? Any suggestions? Looks like it should be a simple install. On my 2955 it is right behind a wall in the basement. Any ideas or suggestions on mounting?
Thanks

Not yet, but it's on my list. The pump on my Montana sounds like someone is using a jackhammer in the storage area. I have padded pipes, added foam rubber under the pump, and done everything I can think of, and it's still noisy.
Looking forward to the responses on this thread, thanks for bringing it up.

Flexible hose to replace the rigid hose coming off pump, go to CW get the kit. Helps a LOT!

There are some things discussed above that you can do to ease up on the noise..but..it is a pump and it makes noise because it..pumps... and it is right there in the camper with you just a few feet away no matter where you are. I noticed that a lot of the noise can be eliminated by insulating it from the floor as the thing is attached right to the floor and vibrates throughout the camper.

I replaced my pump with the SMART SENSOR PUMP 5.7. The pressure is great and runs much quieter the what came with the camper. If you go to this you will see how much of a better unit it is. Recommend it to any one.

I was wondering about this specific pump. Were there any issues with the hook up and mounting of this pump?
Thanks

Here's a recent post, my pump is under the sink in the kitchen. When I run water in the sink I have to lesson hard to hear the pump running.

I had NO problems what so ever in replacing the pump. It is bigger in size then the ones from the factory, but fit right in.

I also have the Shurflo 5.7. Shurflo's customer service is great. I needed some elbows and adapters, and they sent them right out. Other than the pump being a little larger, everything hooks up and fits the same. You can buy a Shurflow kit from CW that will quiet down the pipes. I did not do it as my install was quiet enough for me.
