Discovered more wet stuff
Found top shelf in closet wet today and later found camera bag, gun range bag, and video bags all soaked. One EOS-20D Canon and 2 lenses are now packed in rice to dry out. Not soaked but fogged. Video camera dry but charger wet. Two guns wet but now dried and oiled. Gun bag in dryer(without guns or ammo)some wet targets and tools. Rig goes in tomorrow and we check into motel 6 for 3 to 5 days. If we could have gotten all the insurance stuff handled earlier, cause now the weekend is in the middle of the roof replacement.. I have to go put socks on cause my toes are getting cold with both AC units on to dry everything out....

A bad day camping is still better than a good day working, which is where I will be tomorrow, and the next day, and through perpetuity it seems! It will get better for you guys, it always does so hang in there!

For the last two days we've had both AC's running just to keep our toes from roasting. Must be warmer out here in the sticks than in KC. Hope the repairs go well!

Get me a gallon wide-mouth jar with a tin top and I will solder a fitting on it and bring the jar into a vacuum to about 500 microns. I have a quart jar I do that for folks who let the cell phone slip into a glass of water. Saved mine one time.
You stuff would probably need the gallon size.
Oh, and keep the light on... If I have to explain it, it won't be funny...
Good luck buddy. Try that Salty Iguana close to you.

Tidy Cats Crystals is an excellent desiccant to use in a closed (sealed) container for drying items, articles, contraptions, fru-frus, thinga-ma-jiggies, or do-hickies that got wet in a leaking RV..
5 gallon dry-wall plaster buckets are excellent for this; they have gaskets inthe lids.
We have dried cell phones by placing them in a food saver bag with Tidy Cats crystals wrapped in a piece of cloth to prevent contaminating the phone. After vacuum is applied and bag is sealed we left them 'soak' for 3 days.

Yes, on Salty Iguana. Except for the one in Lenexa. We've never liked that one as well as the others. All the others.
Our then 3-yr old granddaughter once tried to hand me our Nokia cell phone when I was doing dishes. Naturally it slipped out of her hand and into the soapy dishwater. I immediately removed the battery and battery cover and laid everything out to dry. Twenty-four hours later it was fine and worked for several more years. Lucky, I guess.
