Pullrite Hitch

Do any Pullrite hitch owners out there have any problem with the 3/4 bolt and jam nuts that adjust and secure the nylon pad loosening up after towing the fifth wheel somewhere?

Mine losens up after each time and is getting to be an anoyance. I believe my problem is due to difficulty of getting a wrench in the recessed area to tighten up the jam nut. An open end wrench slips off it as it is at an angle when tightening it and because of the angle, you can't get a box end wrench on it. Anyone having the same problem and if so, did you find a wrench to fit it? If so, where did you get it? I have thought of taking a standard box end wrench and heating it up and bending an offset in it, but would rather buy something if there was something out there instead of altering a good wrench.

In advance, I thank eveyone for any and all suggestions.

Buy a cheap wrench and bend it. I have a 3/4" box wrench with the open end cut off so I can put a length of pipe on it.

I installed a pullrite super slide hitch a few months ago and have made a couple of trips. Its really works great, but I seem to have a very slight amount of slop starting and stoping at times. I have been hesitant to adjust the jam nut due to the warning in the instructions about making it too tight. What guidelines do you use to adjust this? Regards Gary

I don't have a Pullrite hitch, but i do have a set of wrenched that have a swivel socket on one end & open-end on the other----really helps getting @ those hard-to-reach places that are angled. Just an idea...
