I'm Hungry...Are We There Yet?

For figuring out mileage between two cities I have found that the McDonald's site is fairly accurate. More so than MapQuest.

To try it out, go to http://www.mcdonalds.com

---Near the top of the page, select your country and click "go".

---Scroll down to "Restaurant Locater" and click on it.

---Scroll down to where it says:
Going on a vacation? The McDonald's
Trip Planner can help you locate all
the McDonald's along the way.

---Click on the red words "McDonald's Trip Planner"

---Just fill in the starting City/State and the ending City/State and click go.

--The next page will give you the mileage and minutes of travel between those two cities along with a map.

If it doesn't come up with anything, then there is not a McDonald's in one of those cities you used. In that case, use a nearby city for a location.

Worked for me.
From Harrisburg, PA (where we are camped) to Goshen, IN..
With my Microsoft Streets and Trips (which I had to buy) it's 560 miles
Using Micky D's it's 554

Book marked that one.

HAHA, I have not looked at the site yet, but will and intend on sending it to my girl friend who is trip tic crazy!. For one 14 day trip she printed out over 90 pages of trip tics! I printed out about 15 for 13 weeks and most of those were to help me find cousin's homes or cemeteries! Can't wait to tell her she can save all the AAA $ for memberships! What a HOOT!

What a cool site! Having a 5yo who doesn't eat much but requests Mickey D's fries, this is awesome. Thanks for posting!
