Colorado Springs heading East

We will be departing Colorado Springs towards KC in a couple of days and I am wondering whether to listen to the GPS. It is saying take 24 east to 94 to 70. I prefer divided highway without stop and go thru towns so this route kinda scares me. We came in by way of Denver and while not the shortest mileage route I wonder if its the better return route. Anybody have any experience with the 24/94 route? Thanks

mtpocket2,
I will be going from the Springs on Tuesday and connecting up with I-70 at Limon. I am coming from Canon City on Hwy 115. I will catch Academy Blvd. off Hwy 115 to Fountain Blvd and go East which will connect us with Hwy 24 East. Hwy 24 will take us all the way to Limon.
It is not a bad drive through the small towns on Hwy 24 to Limom. We have been that way many times and it is much simpler than backtracking to Denver. It is 66 miles from the East side of Colorado Springs to Limon. Powers Blvd. will also connect you with Hwy 24.
If you have any questions you can PM and I will try to help.
Joe

Thanks. 94 doesn't look like a good idea to me but 24 to Limon sounds good.
