Does a kingpin tripod work with the MorRyde pin box?
Recently had the MorRyde kingpin installed on my 2007 3400RL and really glad I did. I already had an aluminum tripod to put under the kingpin when we stay several days in one place to help reduce "wobble". Someone told me that the tripod is now worthless with the MorRyde pinbox. True?

I also have a Moryde. Been awhile, but when I tried the tri-pod it did not make much of a difference. Most of the movement was fore to aft, same direction king pin moves. X-chocks made much more of a difference. If movement is a real problem, you might want to try JT Strong arms.

I agree, X chocks did more for us. Level-up solved the problem in total, in large part because we kept the rear electric stabilizers.

Chuck it ! think about it the Mor-ryde pin box Moves fore and aft etc.. so that Tripod is worthless just sell it if you are lucky enough or give it away to Goodwill etc.. more room in storage and like DQDick and fatcatzzz says use X chocks or JT strong arms because I am assuming you do not have 6 point auto level

drjjj---I ditched mine several years ago also. I just let the junk guys have it since it was one of heavy steel jobs! I am sure they got a nice payoff. I will skip the details but having a tripod that has a single point at the top is mechanically unstable. Save the space in your basement for something useful.

Didn't think that it helped very much, if at all. Another problem was in order to get the Monty level, front to back, most times the kingpin was too low to get the tripod under it. Sold it.

Might help with vibration a bit if you have a washer/dryer up front.
If you have a 6 point level up system, don't bother.
