Update on "More Failures"We are happy

Our tank problems will be corrected to our complete satisfaction. I did not say Rich got his way but Rich is satisfied with the results.

Had a long conversation With Steve Holmes this afternoon and he was very helpful and Understanding along with Mark Krol to come up with a resolution that was fair to all concerned.

Mr Holmes is in a position to have input to or resolve many issues that Keystone/Montana is having in the service area and has a excellent understanding of those Issues. Change does not come fast or Easy to Organizations but there are Folks Like Mark Krol, Steve Holms and others that are doing their best. IMO we will see positive changes in the future.

I thought Mark Krol moved to another division of Keystone? Is he back with the Montana group now?

I THINK... that Mark is the Big Sky/High County guy. He will always be a Montana guy to us.

We will have them strapped as per specs and are looking into upgrading the tanks. I would not expect Keystone to pay for a tank upgrade but I would be willing to do it on my own buck IF not real expensive.

AGGGHhh anyone have a source .We have no idea what kind of tanks to use for a upgrade. We took a quick look at a manufacturer of Upgraded holding tanks and the cost would be over 1000.00 for the three tanks.

Good to hear you are finally getting some help from Keystone and lets hope the trend to negotiate resolutions continues. We all have a vested interest in this. Keep us posted.

Hi

I wish you luck but.

We will see how you make out. Steve Holmes made those same promises to me and then didn’t even have guts enough to tell me he wasn’t going to do any thing. He had one of the Customer Agents tell me they weren’t going to take care of my problems.

The best tanks are cross linked polyetheline and then above that is the military grade of same. John

You might look at marine tanks at www.pellandent.com or www.plastic-mart.com

I have looked at plastic mart. The problem is the correct size or will the sizes they have fit. The tanks are very expensive.

They say their RV Freshwater tanks can be used as holding tanks, dont know if that means they are thicker or not. The other site says their marine tanks are thicker than their rv tanks. Anyway Good Luck with your fix.

If you don’t have it I writing and the job isn’t complete and you still have your money in your pocket it isn’t “done”.

Remember if you receive a phone call from Keystone in response to an email it’s because Keystone doesn’t want you to have a record of the conversation.

We have E mail. Whatever happens will be fully reported on the forum and everyone at Keystone knows that. I take what people tell me at their word and will take them to task if they do not keep it. We just want our two leaking tanks properly installed and replaced which based on previous repairs is about a 1200.00 $$ job and we were going to do it at our own expense. Keystone has offered to help and we are satisfied with any help they may give.

I do understand what you are saying and I keep that in mind.

I do insist that when talking to the service center that my concerns be recorded under my VIN. When talking to Mr Holmes he quoted back to me by date and concern what was recorded under my VIN That is just our experience and others may vary. We will continue to report and post till we roll out of the Dealership repaired.

We do understand what you are saying and we do keep it in mind.

Rich

In my case When I insisted on having a record of the phone call I was told all phone calls were recorded under our VIN.

When I requested a copy of this what I got was someone reading the record to me. It was not at all what was said. It turns out that the calls are not recorded instead they are typed in by the customer representative you are talking to. I don’t need to explain any further you get the idea.

I am convinced this was Keystone backing a high volume dealer that basically just cheated me. Both of the costly items that I paid to repair had been reported to the selling dealer within 30 days of the purchase date. Only one was reported to Keystone and that was reported a repaired. It obviously was not repaired.

Keystone used the excuse that in accordance with their warranty policy I was required to disassemble the trailer to include removing the windows, even down to the sink and shower drains to reseal them every 3 months. You can bet that conversation was never interred into the record.

Like I keep harping on get everything your dealer tells you in writing. Don’t let the dealer tell you that because it was warranty work they don’t supply you with a copy of the work order.

Last but not least when I provided Mr. Holmes with VINs from 2 other units that had the same problems and Keystone had repair them by removing both end walls in the large slide because they had been improperly installed on the assembly line I was told “we don’t cross reference that stuff”.

Phil P

PS:

If Keystone was really interested in how the end user was treated by the dealer that sold my trailer he would not be a dealer today.
