Bob, I have the manual for the one installed on mine and it says that it is intended as an observation camera. The original was a "backup" camera. I guess that what didn't come through is that Keystone is taking care of this through the dealer, my friend. At least they did through mine.

Ron I will be happy if they replace mine with a camera that is for continuous use. If not I will still be happy to just have one that works. . I also wish it had a microphone in it like some of the older models had. :-(

Tom, the older Voyager was nice and did have sound. But the wireless portion was not very robust. I ended up hard wiring mine. The new one sends the signal from the back of the trailer to the truck, where the Voyager sent it about six feet - from the front of the cap to the truck. So, on some of the longer rigs, it's sending a signal almost 50 ft. I'm sure that they will continue to evolve. So far, Furrion and my dealer have both been good to work with and I am pleased with the camera since they replaced it. You will know if you got the observation system if the monitor also has an antenna.

my furrion is paired and works as long as I'm close to the 5th wheel; when I have in the truck I get single drops and intermittent operation; anyone else having that issue?

Ours started that way, then failed. Our dealer replaced with the better unit.

I had called Furrion directly before I had read the issue on this forum. They called me back today , they told me that not only did the factory connecte the camera to the parking lights but also to the battery . So the camera would allows be on all time and we all know what happens to them. They are sending me a replacement camera that can stay on all the time. Should have later in the week. He said this should fix my issue.
