Awning
I start having a problem with the awning shifting to one end of the roller tube. I have pulled it back, but it moves every time I roll it back up. It moves enough that the support arms will not line up with the top bracket. The fabric was not attached level on the RV at the factory, but it only recently started shifting. You would have thought in this day of laser levels, it would be a no brainer to attach the awning fabric in a nice straight line (goes up and then back down).
I don't want to drill a hole in the tube to anchor the fabric because of water intrusion, but am considering trying a small short set screw in the grove where the fabric slides. Any other ideas?

Will, Many awnings do have a screw/setscrew in the track that anchors the awning. They are intended to prevent just the trouble you are having. If you inspect closely, you may find that you have had one and lost it through vibration. Bob

Right, got same problem (not out of plumb driven, more by wind, awning slating, etc)...been on my list but keep forgetting to pick up those screws!
Thinking installer skipped doing this last step.
Thinking Aluminum or Stainless so I don't have to deal with rust from weather.

Thanks for the quick responses. I got a couple 10-24 X 1/2" s/s pan head screws (couldn't find the set screws)and cut them off about 3/16". With a little friendly persuasion they screwed right into the grove. So far, so good.
