Fyi ... We had the same surge protector that went defective and caused surging in the RV. $3000 later after fixing appliances we replaced it with the Progressive 50 amp. Called Surge Gaurd no help, no warranty. Replace it. Take it from us not worth the risk!

I was happy with the one I had until it went up in smoke. I sure wouldn’t want that one mounted in the basement. The fire was contained by the housing but almost not.

I purchased the Progressive 50 Amp portable surge protector. The main reason I went with the portable is that I also have a truck camper with 30 Amp power and I can use the 50 Amp on the truck camper also. Also when hooking up, I immediately know if there is a issue with the campground power. I don't have to go inside to look at the monitor. Also love that lifetime warrantee.
