Antenna amp and light interaction
I have a strange interaction between my OTA antenna amp and certain lights. My television in the bedroom has a display feature that shows the signal strength of the TV signal. I have found that on certain stations that are on the fringe of service, I can go from good signal to nothing simply by turning on the bedroom ceiling LED pancake light.
Cutting the light off fixes the issue. I inspected the coax connectors connected to the amp, but didn't see any bad connections, as least visually.
At the last CG, it was only one station that had the problem. 13-1 Digital HDTV.

It's my understanding, (read I heard that, not that I understand it), that certain LED lights will interfere with radio and TV signals. Something about a part they don't have.

I assumed it was a lousy regulator design generating a lot of noise. Not sure if a capacitor on the power lead would solve it.

We changed over to LED and bought all our bulbs from Michael and Kat. As a result we haven't had a single problem, so I would think you are correct.

Easy enough to put something like a .01 mfd cap across power and ground to see if it makes a difference. Best value would be selected knowing the freq. range of the noise...but anything small in value should give you an indication of if it has any effect. When it comes to radiated or conducted emissions, good grounding is key to reducing these rf sources...but not something that is possible in this case. Just make sure the cap has a voltage rating of at least 15 vdc. John
