If you have a weak spot in the seal around the vent, you will get water into this area. Original seal can't be too good after this long. I used 100% silicone caulk after cleaning up around the vent. John

2010 Montana 5th wheel. Bedroom slide is leaking. Seal Strip on top of slide resealed. Drain spouts sealed.rubber seals around drain spout resealed. Just got it back from having more resealing done. But still leaking. Anyone have any ideas of what else to do

You did not mention the sealing tape across the outside end of the slide roof or the seam strips running top to bottom outside edge of slides both sides. Additional potential leak sources.

You also didn't say where it's leaking. If the floor is wet in the corners it's the 4" trim strip across the bottom front of the slide. Resealed mine two years ago and all was well until this summer when we noticed a little bit of moisture again. Went out and looked and the resealing job was cracking and pulling away and resealed it again. Last week had 70mph winds and pouring rain blowing from the slide side and no leaks so we're good for another couple years again.

Make sure the wide seal along the top and sides are not folded, facing partially in and out at the same time.

Bill, mine was leaking there also, ended up water was leaking in at the screw holes. So be sure to re-caulk behind the screw heads too.

Go on the roof and make sure the small rubber boot is seated on the coax cable for the antenna.

Thank you so much for all this information. My husband is coming down this evening to check all those potential areas. And yes the bedroom floor near front of bed - mostly in corner close to front mirrored closet is where it is wet. We have our RV in West Vancouver for 6 months as our daughter is going to school there. We live in Squamish BC. Land ouf the rain!

Sincerely,

Terri

Hello Dick. I beleive this may be the culprit on mine too. I have a little we carpet with each heavy rain right inside the closet next to the bed. Could you plesae be a little more specific as to where you actually resealed? I cannot find anything that looks weak as of yet. Thanks, Glenn

Ours is still leaking at rear of bedroom slide -close to shower. We do have awnings on top of slides.
