Hydraulic slide fluid reservoir

When the slides are in, how far down in the plastic reservoir should the fluid be. I had a leak in two hoses and lost some fluid. Tightened the hoses and ran the slides in and out. So far no leak seen. Now, need to know if need to add some ATF to the reservoir. Thanks,

We just checked ours yesterday. According to the manual all slides have to be in AND all legs lifted. We hooked our rig up to the truck ran everything in and up and then looked at the reservoir. Ours has a fill line just above the sticker stating the type of fluid. Unfortunately it is hard to read that it is the fill line because it is molded into the plastic so it blends in. Once we put a flash light to it the line appeared. We have a small leak on one leg (near the stairs) but it wasn't the fittings so we are doing more research.

We are going to take out some of the fluid and add some other fluid to prevent the popping sound...I just can't remember what the other fluid is. You may want to consider doing that since you are going to have to fluid anyways.

Hope that helps!

1/2-1" from the top will work just fine

Take a magic marker and draw lines on the tank with all legs and slides in and out and then you can easily see where the fluid level needs to be.

Carol, the fluid you are looking for is Fork oil. It is available at any motorcycle or atv sales. ours was popping and we added one bottle and all is well.

That's what my manual says too.
