slides

have 2006 montana 34 r l just got problem with slides going out while parked....... while setting the slides go out about 8 inches... dont understand because i always disconect battery ......anyone else with this problem.......think maybe its haunted?????? frosty......

sounds like it could be a cylinder seal leak the fliud in the cylinder is leaking around the seal and this is pushing the slide out.you would have to replace the seal in the cylinder and this would hold back the fliud stopping the slide from coming out .in other words the seal are cut on the cylinder.these could be your problem.this is if only one of the slides are out.or it could be the check valve in the pump if all slides are out a little bit.so check the check valve in the pump or the cylinders for a cut seal .if it is a cut seal there should be fliud on the out side of the cylinder .hope this helps

John-- You didn't say if you are at home up north or on the road! I'm assuming you are at home and it is starting to warm up up there! Besides what thor has said, it may be that the hydraulic fluid is just warming up and expanding from it's long winter sleep! I've had this problem and found out as soon as the weather warms up enough to keep the fluid at a normal temp, the problem ends. Don't ask me why it just does. If you go into the search sight and keep in slides creeping you'll find others that have or had the same problems. Keep us informed on what you find out!

thank you all finally got the slides to stop going out ..... ran them in and out several times, most have had some air in line as some one said on e mail...... they work many thanks------------------- to everyone
