Bullydog Landing Gear

Getting ready to order & install the 10,000lb Bullydog front landing gear. I have seen threads of other members who have done the install. Any pictures, or info on where the switches were installed.
Thanks:
John

Behind drivers side propane door is where I put mine. Didn't want them mounted on the outside of the 5er for some idiot to be able to get at. I altered the cutout for the old motor assembly with a saber-saw to fit for the new switch panel

Also, I changed the orientation of the BD motors to point downward(flipped them over) instead of upward like they are shipped (if you do this, you have to wire opposite of instructions to make extend/retract labels on switches to be correct), and have the motors sticking out toward the sides of the 5er.

Been thinking about fabbing up some kind of cover to protect switches from road spray.

The install is pretty straightforward, but I had to hand file some weld fillets out to square corners for them to fit into the 5ers brackets correctly. Evidently, the welders south of the border, do not understand how these are supposed to fit up with the brackets that are already on our 5ers. Although, as-is, they would work fine with their supplied brackets, but there is no way that I would scarf off the old brackets and weld on their brackets. So, with a little hand filing, they fit great.

...and, Yippee, no more plywood shims to dink around with when setting up the landing gear to get them to contact the ground at close to the same time!!!

I posted pics and all on the forum here: http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...hlight=bulldog. Mounted ours on the front and put a locking thermostat cover over them. Had no issues like Overlord at all installing them - direct fit & only took a day.
