We should be heading further south soon. Currently in Vegas. We are still heading east a bit, so long as the weather holds up. Then Az, and San Diego in Dec. After that, were not sure yet.

Leaving upstate NY mid December and final stop is Key West for the winter. I-95 thru SC is usually a nightmare as everyone is hell bent and they all catch up and have to slow down to a crawl till things get moving again. Great to be retired, just take my time, spend 3 nights on the road, 3rd night is at the Indian casino just outside Miami and 4 hrs from there.

Had some of my most interesting road experiences driving thru Atlanta. Just as an example, we were going thru late one night with both of my young daughters awake and looking at the city when a pickup truck with a ladder rack passed us with three hillbillies standing up peeing over the tailgate. Hard to find the right thing to say.
That is just a Georgia Salt Truck!!!!! LOL

Already there, we are at the camp ground at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. Only 8 spots and real quiet.

We were originally going to leave Manitoba on Nov 10 but decided to go a little earlier. Good thing we did as the weather through the American Midwest down to Texas has turned just plain ugly. Left Roswell this morning and stopped in at the White Sands National Monument on our way to Las Cruces. Will be staying in LC for 2 nights and backtracking to White Sands to spend a few hours without the trailer and dog in tow. Loving our first trip as snowbirds but can hardly wait to spend more that 1 or 2 nights in one spot. Will be nice to get fully unpacked and organized when we hit Tucson for a 1 month stay.
We did stop in Guthrie, OK for 1 night. Couldn't stay longer as we were trying to stay ahead of a weather system. We may stop for a few days on our return trip and it has a lots of historic buildings and looks like it would be interesting and lots of great pictures.
