Verizon USB Air Card
Bought the Verizon USB Air Card. Connects great. But when I try to go into Internet Explorer, it won't load due to some unknown error. I get to some internet sites that don't load IE first but go to their own page, but that is far and few. I found somewhat of a work around by right clicking on IE and loading without "add-ons." That works somewhat well, but restricts some useage. Anyone else have this problem. Running on an HP laptop with Vista (yuk). Card works fine on the other HP laptop running XP.

One of the folks who really knows about this will be along soon but for now...... I've heard that Vista and Verizon air card have some issues! Just what I've heard. I use a MAC so have no direct experience with it.
Good luck.

I have read somewhere, but can not find it now, that with Vista, you need Service Pac 1.
Hopefully - Alex will see this and respond.

All I can tell you is that mine works fine running Windows XP on a MacBook. (Also works fine with Mac 0S X)
My (limited) experience with Verizon Tech support has been quite good, so why not give them a call?

My Verizon USB Air Card works flawlessly on XP and two different Vista laptops.
I smell a software problem and contacting MS technical support would be my recommendation.

Gotta agree with Carl. I run XP on my laptop and Lorraine has Vista on her's. The Verizon USB works flawlessly on both.
I would also suggest contacting either Verizon Wireless or MicroSoft.

I have a USB 727 modem with Verizon and it works on my tower running Vista and the laptop running XP. I have talked with Verizon wireless for service with both machines and they have been very helpful. Good luck and let us know what you find out.
Cheers,

You might also check to see if there is a software update. I seem to remember something about that. Should be able to find out on the Verizon site, or just call their CS.

Not sure how you purchased the air card, either via internet or Verizon store. If you bought it at a store, take your laptop to that outlet. I noticed a customer getting support with her laptop and USB air card at a Verizon store here in NC. Also, to remember, Verizon cards are free right now I think. Usually $59 or so. Good Luck. Dennis

Was on the phone for over an hour with Verizon tech support. No resolution. Will try MS Tech and also go to the store where I bought the card. Thanks for all the replies (even if you are a Mac user). Bob
